Today’s thankful: My kids knew it wasn’t a balloon

In local news this morning, a young girl found what she thought was a balloon on the school playground and put it in her mouth. I just threw up a little. She now has to be tested for STD’s. I know for a fact that this condom wasn’t the first one ever found on a playground, because my kids have found them in our neighborhood playground. Luckily, they were old enough to know what they were when they found them and left them alone.

On a semi-related note, my ex-mother-in-law refused to go to any Laundromat to do her wash because when she was in college she found a used condom in one of the dryers. It scarred her for life.
