I HATE the kindergarten
year. It isn’t that I mind sending my kids to school, because I don’t. What I detest is sending a five-year-old to school for two and a half hours each day. What a waste of everyone’s time. Granted, many kindergarteners (including Youngest) are not ready for a full day of learning, but I am all for just letting them skip the big K and start first grade when they are six. It was good enough for me. Back in the way back long ago, kindergarten was more like a daycare facility which included a little bit of preschool learning. Remember that? At any rate, after my third stent of kindergarten hell, I am free at last, free at last.
