Six years ago, Tiny Person came tumbling into this world like a stunt woman. She did a forward roll on the way out, and landed with such panache, I knew raising her was going to be a wild ride. We went to Splash Island today to celebrate her day, then to Chili’s for dinner and are now home for cake. She wanted a helium balloon, so we stopped on the way home and bought her one. It was such a simple way to make her day. She said this was the best birthday ever. That is reason enough to be happy. She reminds me every day why I call her a surprise instead of a mistake. I wouldn’t trade her for the world, and am so very thankful that she is a part of my life.
Sometimes life is about laughing so you don't cry. Other times, it is about laughing so hard that you do.
